I race GPL mostly, even though I have other titles. I see where F1 2002 is now
selling for $20 and I am thinking of getting it. I'm wondering how well it
will run on my system: PIII 1g, Asus TUSL2C MB, 512mb ram, SB live, MSSWFF
wheel, latest drivers for everthing. What do you think my frame rate will be?
Also what are the best web pages for this sim? What do you GPL racers think of
F1 2002?
Thanks,
Steve

appeal to you. The cars are so rigid and non moving, it may seem odd.
However, the closest sim I have driven that brings the feel of GPL could be
the V3 FIA mod that was done for F1 2001. THe mod makers are within about a
month or so of releasing a new version of the mod for F1 2002. This should
be worth the $20 alone. Plus there are about anothe half dozen road courses
that have been ported over to F1 2002 format and I suspect the GTR 2001 mod
will have several new tracks as well.
Simbin is a good place to start...rsdg.net also.

tantra also has several tracks at:

the Lemans mods are available at:
http://sportscarsm.racesimcentral.com/index.html
and of course if you check the links from those you might even find a site
or two that actually caters to the F1 portion of the title :)
