That got you attention - didn't it? :-)
Well you didnt read this mail all for nothing....
I'm willing to try and setup (and maintain) a new carset database, so what I
need is for all the REGISTERED RASCAR DRIVERS to send me their RASCAR cars.
(i.e the *.cup.car file)
PREFERABLY NAMED ACCORDING TO JOHNS GUIDELINES:
When you apply to be registered, you MUST select an un-used car number, and
provide your FULL NAME and Sierra ID, as well as a car file. If you do not
provide these things YOUR REQUEST WILL BE IGNORED.
Your carfile must be named like this: NNN_F_LLLLLLL.cup.car
or this: NNN_SSSSSS.cup.car
where "NNN" is your car number, "F" is your first initial, " LLLLLL" is your
last name, and "SSSSSS" is your sierra ID.
If you want to use one of the cars that originally came with the sim, you
must export the car's paintscheme (and pitcrew), create a new car file, use
YOUR name (NOT your Sierra ID) for the driver's name, and import the
paintscheme and pitcrew into the new file. Specific instructions for doing
this are beyond the scope of this web site's intent. If you submit a carfile
with the wrong name, you will NOT be included on the invite list until these
requirements have been met.
-----
Please send your cars to me: igplc [at] online.no (Y'all know the
drill..)

All you have to do is email your carfile to Ed. Phil Lee is apparently
on vacation or something, and hasn't built a carset zip file in a long
time.
Just when I though I'd gotten all the cars straightened out on my
system, Dave goes and changes his carfile name, and I discovered that
when you disco and reconnect, your car comes back with the generic
online paintjob and with NO CAR NUMBER.
