Add-on tracks for GTR2002 and F1 2002

Gerry Aitken asked what add-on tracks were available for GTR2002. Maxi posted a list and download sites, and posters explained how to install the converted Le Mans track. There were requests for Road Atlanta, Road America and the Nurburgring, and banter about Dave Henrie's slow lap on the findthelimit leaderboard.

What's available and where? I've found Le Mans for F12001, tried to install it, it appears in the track screen, but when I try to go there I get a CTD. TIA Gerry

Not that I've seen. The only American Road Racing tracks are Laguna Seca and Sebring and the old F1 circuit at Phoenix. The Thunder tracks are available for conversion but that requires some changes to the terrain.ini file(and some individual track folder tweeking) dave henrie RSDG was supposedly working on Road America but I don't know how far along they are. . --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Have any of the track gurus ever looked at the AMA Superbike track formats? Seems I remember talk that they had the most accurate layouts for US tracks. Ok, I've downloaded the .zip, but it has no instructions in it. Any chance you could point me to the info I need to install it correctly? TIA Gerry
You dont install it.....you unzip the folder to the Seasons02/Tracks in F1 and GTR2002Season/Tracks in GTR. When you fire up the game Le Mans is there as another choice. :) AD "Gerry Aitken" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Aidee wrote: > > You dont install it.....you unzip the folder to the Seasons02/Tracks in F1 > and in GTR. OK, done that. I checked 'use folder names' but the files just ended up loose in GTR2002Season/Tracks folder, and not in a track folder of their own, is that right? It produced a CTD when I tried to go to the track, though. So I tried putting them in a folder of their own called LeMans, and still got a CTD. Any ideas? TIA Gerry

I started all that begging...me and Ymenard I think. One of the AMA team came in and said the tracks would be a complete mess since they didn't use standard 3d programs to build them. Still, that was what was said about the GPL tracks too. Perhaps if I mail Uwe or Ruud my AMA cd they could crack those puppies...Mid Ohio and Road America are absolutely SUPERB in AMA. dave henrie

There are three versions of this track and soon to be 4. the one you have is based on the 2001 configuration. There is work to add several extra turns near the start, between the Dunlop bridge and the start of the Mulsaane straight. That is the 2002 track configuration(the real race not the mod) Also some folks figured out how to bypass the chicanes on the Mulsaane so you have a hybrid of the 70's track with the more modern track. And there is a night version. dave henrie --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Actually I may have found a bug in the Telemtry lap submission. If you go out and send in your first hot lap...it also adds the entire previous lap from the moment you start leaving the pits through the entire hotlap. Of course MOST people go faster after a lap or two...but this is ME remember? I saw one guy with a 12 minute lap so It looks like the bug is repeatable. and as far as improving dramatically...don't worry Goy, my corrected time is still much closer to the blunt end of the list. dave henrie --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
