EldredP finally achieves a negative GPLRank
Haqsau prompted EldredP to reveal that after about four years of effort he had reached a negative GPLRank, helped by an 8:23 lap at the Nurburgring. Regulars celebrated the famously persistent 'St. Eldred', and Mikkel Gram-Hansen posted the news on the Race Sim Central front page.

Eldred...an era is over for me...you were the
epitha...epither...epith.....example of dedication to the cause in GPL,i
made one attempt over a 2 month period to go negative and if i had failed i
wouldnt have tried again...you on the other hand have grinded...ala Cliff

Nope - a Friday the 13th(go figure) practice session at the Ring...8:23 PB on
my third lap. I ran 35 more over the weekend(practice for a 44-lapper in 2
weeks), and only broke 8:30 TWICE...grrrr.
I'm still trying to figure out how others go so fast there. Between my
scheduled races and practice, I'll probably run 150+ laps at the Ring in the
next 3 weeks. It would be nice to find the speed.
