Andy Mahood's sim column in the latestPC Gamer magazine has an article
about Papyrus complete with photographs of the staff. No definite
news about their next project after N2003, but several references to
this group's commitment to car racing.
PC Gamer article profiling Papyrus
A poster mentioned Andy Mahood's PC Gamer column profiling Papyrus, which gave no firm news about the post-NR2003 project but suggested a multi-platform racing title. Scans were posted on Sierra's registration-only forum, which annoyed several readers. The thread drifted into banter about the mhogaming newsgroup and American football.

Eh... link? 'coz either I'm at the wrong N2002 sierra.com forums or there is
*zero* mention of a PC Gamer article in any of the sub-forums.

I found it right away. Inside the n2k2 forum. The Sierra bbs system
truncates the thread, once you find the thread you have to hit a linked
hyperthread to see all of the messages, and then you'll come across the jpgs
of the article.
Fairly lacking in any real information, which is VERY TYPICAL of Papyrus.

Well, first it's not a press release, so don't blame them for the
content. =)
Second, it makes it clear that their next project will be released for
multiple platforms including the PC and will be racing oriented. I've
felt this way since reading their initial press release a few months
ago, but at least having that information written in plain, simple
language will get the "papy is abandoning the PC and sim racing" crowd
to pipe down.

I don't feel any different for having been there. If it's a wolf, it's
definately wearing it's sheepskin coat at the moment. It'll take more than a
couple scantily clad models, some references to American sports and politics
(both of which I know very little about) and some general banter to phase
me. That said, I haven't tried posting yet (didn't find a subject I had
anything to say on), but I doubt if, should things hot up, I can really

At least in FOOTball the ball does frequently touch the foot. In BASEball
it's an extremely rare occurance when the ball touches a base.

Yeah, he had the ball up over his shoulder, *about* to throw it, and he got
hit. The ball fell to the ground, and the defense recovered the ball. If
they ruled that he was in the motion of passing the ball, then it is an
incomplete pass, and the offence retain possession. If however, they ruled
that he wasn't in the motion of passing the ball, merely holding the ball
above his head in preparation of throwing it, then it is a fumble, and the
defense get possession. I can't remember which way around it was, but I
think it was New England Patriots on offense, right at the end of the game,
3 points down, and if it was a fumble then the Oakland Raiders effectively
won the game, but the officials went with the incomplete pass, New England
kicked a late field goal to take the game to overtime and then went on to
win it. It was the AFC Championship game, meaning the winner goes to the
Superbowl, and the New England Patriots went on to beat my beloved St. Louis
Rams with a cheeky b*stard field goal with the last play of the game, after
we had come back from 14 points down, too.
> FOOTball game......AmericansRugby Football is predominantly played using the hands, too. And,
ironically, England are the best in the world at rugby, while we are about
6th best at *Foot*ball, our national sport.

What can you expect, your footy series' best players these days are all
furreiners
There's nothing wrong with having a few imports to strengthen your team,
but in teams like Arsenal (I love the Gunners), the home grown players
are just filling in the spots for which they can't afford to import
someone, it may or may not be good for the clubs in question, but it
surely isn't good for national teams, the only way to be really good at
something, and we're talking about world class here, is to play for the
best teams
Hell, you guys are so desperate to bring in furreiners you're even
importing Norwegians, whoever gave you guys the idea we knew anything
about football ?
Except for the fact that we kicked your ass a couple of times when Egil
"Drillo" Olsen managed the national team of course :-), but if you ask
the Wimbledon fans I'm not sure they all agree that he was such a great
coach, football is a weird game sometimes
