Is it out yet? I haven't seen it locally or heard ANYTHING about it here recently...??? Went to UbiSoft web site and it isn't even listed in their PC games menu. Is it being published by someone else? I just remember reading a preview of it and it sounded like nothing more than a modestly patched F1RC, which I find very hard to believe after all this time. Thanks, Marc -- **************************************************************************** Marc Collins [email hidden] Your mouse has moved. Windows must be restarted for the change to take effect. F1RC had the same problems in North America. It was barely mentionned. I think it's only released in Europe. I would agree that Ubisoft doesn't seem to care about it. If you check out sites like http://www.ubisoft.de/ http://www.ubi.com/FR/ You'll see it listed. Perhaps it's a good thing nobody cares about it <G> :) -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- http://ymenard.cjb.net/ -- This announcement is brought to you by the Shimago-Dominguez Corporation - helping America into the New World...
Well, it's definitely not listed on the Ubi UK site and no store/site has any knowledge of it apart from some mention on Software First a few weeks ago (BTW, have they gone under? Haven't been able to access their site for weeks.) I'm sure it hasn't been released here - but if anyone knows different, then let me know cos I'd like to try it out. I read in one of the PC Games mags (either Zone or Gamer) a few weeks ago that it was undecided as to whether it was going to be released as a stand alone game or bundled with some unnamed hardware. I've no idea how accurate this is, but I've not seen it mentioned since. -- Sean Black
Hi !! RS3 is released in germany since beginning of October. But it seems to be the same as F1RC without real data. They didn't get the FIA Licence, so you're driving on virtual tracks with virtual cars and teams. If you're interested you can download a demo on http://www.ubisoft.de I suppose here in germany nobody cares of it, too. I'd prefere GP4. regards Thorsten "Marc Collins" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:YEJS9.2313$[email hidden]...

I think you'll find that RS3 was released in Germany on 5 December like the rest of Europe not October. Also, I can't see any demo, only a screensaver and video. Where is the demo on the site? Released in Portugal too. I think it has been released in most of Europe. I have it: it is F1RC with (slightly) beter graphics. The specs in the box say it needs DX7 to run wich says a lot about the game. It has no FIA license so all tracks have different names and the cars are "F1 like" but real F1 cars. There are some mods out (German sites) that fix this. I guess that if you liked F1RC you will like this one but that's about the best you can say about it. Ubisoft showed great potential back when they published F1RS but all the follow ups have been a disapointment. Hey Gerry, I have bought many racing games for the same reason. Something about "just trying 'em out", you know. Hehe, my girlfriend used to work near an EB outlet, very handy that. Phone her mid morning so she could make the purchase at lunchtime, try said purchase that evening, and get her to take it back the next day. :) Job's a good an'. Gerry
