I'm usually into PC action, racing and stratagy games, hence my posting
here.
What are some worthy more adult orientated action games with puzzles or
strategy envolved? Or a decent racing game - Driver2, Colin Magree2.0??
I'd like to have to think instead of only using twitch fingers to beat a
game.
When buying the GBA I bought Smugglers Run and Tomb Raider, these any good?
Thanks for any suggestions and feedback in advance.

Advance Wars is fantastic. It plays a lot like Panzer General.

Hmmm, since the Mario Kart port seems fairly similar to the SNES one, I
would recommend it.

The two best racing games are Colin McRae 2 and V-Rally 3, hands down. Nothing
else comes near these two right now.

Advance Wars is for you. If you like RPGs, then Golden Sun and Tactics Ogre
are also recommended.

Smugglers Run is suppsed to be pretty bad, while Tomb Raider has gotten mixed,
yet generally positive reviews.
As always, the Zelda games are recommended. There's one GBA games (a port of
the SNES game), and three GBC games, which are still good despide being made
for the color system.

Any word on ATV Quad Power being any fun? Looking for a racing game with
jumps, hill and stuff. Does CM2 or VR3 have jumps and hills and water, etc?

Advance Wars sure looks kiddish though. It does seem to get great
reviews where ever you look however.

It's just manga graphics kiddish. Trust me, it's extremely addictive. I know
some people who have become obsessive ... then there's the multiplayer over
the link... and the map editor...

I also highly recommend getting the eCard reader if you can afford it
since Nintendo has released several of their classic NES games for it.
You can't go wrong with excitebike.

Don't worry, the gameplay is definitely adult. The mix of manga
teenage romance and general battlefield mayhem is quite hilarious!

Advance Wars plays alot more like the Battle Isle series, some might
say it is a clone thereof.

Advance wars is considered just about the best strategy game. It
reminds me a little of Metal marines on the snes, but not as good.
Another one that is hard to find and also considered one of the best is
Oger Tactics. I Just bought a GBA last week and a few days before I saw
this game there, but it wasn't there by the time I decided to buy the
GBA. You can still buy it on EBgames.com though.
Take a look at some of the online reviews for GBA games on ebgames.com
and gamerankings.com.

I played a little of ATV. It had some nice points, but was a little too
arcadey.
As for CM2 and VR3: they are rally games, of course they are going to have
that stuff. Heck, VR3 is better than some first generation Playstation games.

I read one review of Advance Wars which said that the box cover art
was the worst part of the game. Yes, the art is cartoonish, but the
unit depth is impressive for a handheld.
You've got infantry, mechanized infantry, light tanks, medium tanks,
scouts, APCs, artillery, rocket launchers, helicopters, bombers,
fighters, AAA, Anti-Air Missiles, Troop transports, submarines,
sub-hunters, and battleships. And I'm sure I've forgotten one or two.
The AI will quickly train you not to make stupid mistakes, and you can
kick it up to the harder level if it's too easy at first. I bought
this for a long plane trip (~14 hours) and couldn't put it down.
I also have Tactics Ogre, which is good, but the controls are not as
streamlined as Advance Wars. A good-sized battle in Tactics Ogre can
take an hour, easily.
Advance Wars 2 is due out Q4 2003, I think.
