As the title suggests, does anyone know where there's one, please? I tried one, but it was only for XP...
Why do you want to uninstall dx9? I have it with several game and there is no problem for me. What is the game that cause the problem? What is the game that cause the problem? I'm curious as well. DX9 has been the first DX upgrade that actually gave me a performance boost, but I am on XP not ME. MadDAWG
gave me a boost in some apps in WinME as well. FS2002 for example. Achim "MadDAWG" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... ... > DX9 has been the first DX upgrade that actually gave me > a performance boost, but I am on XP not ME.

I'm assuming it's my low-end Geforce 4 /MX 440) that's the problem, but I'd be more than happy to return back to DX8.1.... So, anyone know how? Thanks again....

Ya can't get there from here. And it's never a good idea anyway... Have you checked the basics like perhaps dx9's installation turned vsynce back on? Most likely your driver settings are back to their default status. Seveal users have already posted here on RAS about dx9 improving their performance slightly, certainly we haven't seen a hue and cry about a 50% reduction. I'd dig a little deeper before giving 9.0 the heave ho. dave henrie
