Hi, I have a USB MS FF Wheel. This used to happen initially with the previous Papyrus NASCAR games. Just after installing it (and rebooting again into Admin), the controller window came up and I was able to calibrate wheel and throttle, but not the brake. Couldn't also select force feedback. So, I exited the game and now when I go to start it up, the Sierra logo appears and then the game gets minimized. Any ideas? Windows 2000 Pro DX9 (from the MS site) Ti 4200 card (soon to be Radeon 9700 Pro) I uninstalled NR2002, ran Disk Doctor and Speed Disk (Norton) before installing NR2003 Thanks, -pw pw livingston, montana please use "pw at williamsonenterprises dot com" for e-mail thanks -----------== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Uncensored Usenet News ==---------- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----= Over 100,000 Newsgroups - Unlimited Fast Downloads - 19 Servers =-----

Well, I changed it to OpenGL from D3D and it ran. Seems to me that this has been happening to me with Sierra/Papy sims for years now (different PCs, of course) pw livingston, montana please use "pw at williamsonenterprises dot com" for e-mail thanks -----------== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Uncensored Usenet News ==---------- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----= Over 100,000 Newsgroups - Unlimited Fast Downloads - 19 Servers =-----

>Maybe something to do with Windows 2000? I don't have the game box and >manual and stuff, but it might not be compatible with that operating system. It is compatible with Windows 2000. I just looked on the box. I just installed Dirt Track Racing 2 and it also goes into a minimized window and won't load. I am hoping it is the NVidia 41.09 drivers (or in conjunction with Direct X 9 - perhaps the install order), as my new Radeon should be here this or next week. You didn't have to rename the patch .exe (or did it also have something to do with the start directory) in the last two NASCARs? I did. The symptoms are similar. Stops playing after the intro. -pw pw livingston, montana please use "pw at williamsonenterprises dot com" for e-mail thanks -----------== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Uncensored Usenet News ==---------- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----= Over 100,000 Newsgroups - Unlimited Fast Downloads - 19 Servers =-----
Well, the Sims haven't been perfect, but I've never had HIS problem. Larry "Gerry Aitken" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...
