I just got done playing a lot of quick races online with a friend. I got
smoked more often then not but it was still fun. I have a question for the
exerperienced sim racers.
He hosted and we played with fixed setups and No Damage (he likes to use
others for a brake). Anyway, I could beat him on some tracks like Bristol
and on the road courses where a mistake can kill you but on most tracks we
ran I'd win or we'd be pretty close in qualifying but he just gradually
pulls away during the races. As the race wears on, his lap times never
seems to slow down due to tire wear while my lap times go down as much as
1.5seconds from the start of a 40 lap race till the final lap. Is he that
much better at saving the tires or am I missing something and does No damage
mode have anything to do with the tire wear? I don't think he's using any
cracks for no tire wear that i've heard of in Nascar2002.
