Strange, my system seems to have discovered a new way to annoy me!
Whether it's N2002 or N2003, I get a frame rate drop of 10 in turn 4 (or
where pit entry is). I've recently upgraded to Win XP, but I think all the
drivers are current..(DX8.1 still, I get bad frame rates with DX9...)
This happens on most, if not all tracks, notably at Darlington and Kansas,
but it's fair to say that it happens on more tracks than not.
(note, if I run a replay from cockpit, the same thing happens, fps goes
down from 60 to 48ish)
Any ideas?
Thanks :-)
We all have that problem.
It is the game rendering the graphics and calculating the physics for all
the cars in the pits. Start a race at the back of a 43 car pack (with cars
drawn ahead at 42 and a detail setting high enough you can actually see the
pace car) and you'll see that the drop is permanent as long as all those
cars in front of you in close proximity.

Cheers, Marc, can't say I noticed it before, but ok :-)
