Well, it seems the way the wheels cease rolling and the engine stalls is much more realistic now, since you'd hardly expect to be able to roll a real F1 car very far in a low gear without engine power applied :) Now, you really need to have a button assigned to the clutch and push that in as soon as things start to go badly wrong! (The bump starts, on the other hand, are far too easy to accomplish, and would require quite a lot more "oomph" behind them in real life, I think. But we should probbaly all be thankful that they're a bit too easy in this game!)

This does not mean you are an amatuer, just that you wish to use the auto clutch function. dave henrie

Okay.........I may spend more time off the track than need be....but it happens. My biggest annoyance now is the stalling effect. I do not recall this before. It's annoying when you are sitting on level ground and the car stalls because I didn't get it into neutral before it comes to a stop. Or off the line if you "pop" it.........is there any way around this. On level ground you can't bump start.......which I learned you can actually do.....cool, but would rather the car continue running. Gees..........too many posts today....must have time on my hands to notice all these things about this game.....ah well. It is still loads of fun. Verne

This would be for GTr2002 by the way.......sorry.
I agree about the bump starts.......realistic to a point and cool....but to a novice driver, a much needed bonus. I did figure a way to get it to stay in gear with the brake on without stalling. I'll use this at least until I can finish a short race without running off the track too many times, then I'll add the more realistic stalling effect. But for now............................thanks though. Maybe I oughta start looking into a new wheel that comes with the clutch.........now that would add some serious fun to the game I can imagine. What would be a decent starter wheel w/clutch? I have been using the same wheel for about 3 yrs now and maybe an upgrade would help..........maybe even make me a better driver............SHEYA !!!!!! Dave, actually that switches from manual transmission to semi-automatic transmission, since FIA cars aren't allowed to use semi-autos. You can use clutch assistance in either case. Jason
