Time to finally retire the old P-II 333Mhz laptop...
Just ordered a P4 2.66G DVD CDRW Laptop+Radeon 9000 /60G/SXGA+/512 notebook.
YAHOO!!
I think it should be just a little faster :-D Can't wait to see GPL with some
graphics turned on at higher than 15fps ;-) I've wanted to try out netKar for
a long time, but my old system wouldn't run it. Can't wait!

Congrats, Todd, a killer machine! You should definitely try netkar, it's
improving all the time. What happened to your engine simulations?

Aha... another freak (a.k.a. notebook racer). You're going to love GPL with
the add-ons cranked up. I used to run ICR2 an GP2 on a smeary DSTN screen
and P133 power. My Savage-equipped P-II 500 brought me through GP3 and gave
me a tantalising taste of GPL and N4. After years of processor envy,
notebooks finally hit the big time in 2002. Get a decent small analog
controller like the logitech rumblepad or something and you can take your
fun on the road. People give me funny looks on the plane, but what the
hell, it's better than watching some second-grade movie.

Congrats. Here is a link you might need:

Problem with Notebooks is that, most of the times, if not always, the
drivers are old (tre for Toshiba, Dell, ..).
These drivers are based on Catalyst 3.5, but are compatible with all boards,
including the Mobility Radeons.
Nice playing,
Brian

Actually, that was only nVidia stuff, they've been flexing their muscles
again, although that seems to have been sorted now as well, according to
him he hasn't had any problems with ATI
