Guys,
It seems that DX9 speeds up even old games that don't use it, so I'm
thinking about installing it.
However, will it affect the way my old MSFF gameport wheel works under W98?

It shouldn't do..unless there is an odd conflict. It should feel just the
same as before. But if there is any probs u can solve them by getting dx
tweak from here http://www.wingmanteam.com

i ran dx9 on both my onboard gameport and the sb live and audigy gameports.
Dx9 behaved the same way as Dx8.1.
