Argh...I can't get the stupid thing to work with my TSW2. Anybody get it to work in split-axis mode who can tell me how? If I can't play it, I can't evaluate it. What is it with the convoluted control routines? Ponderous... >Demo no workee with split axis - save your time & hit delete... > Crap. Does that mean the retail won't work with split-axis, either? I don't remember seeing that. That's a deal-breaker, IMO. I'm not going to change around my whole setup for ONE game... Works fine with my precision pro (also autodects it, like Rally Trophy). Eldred, did you have any success with Rally Trophy or the demo for it? It uses the same controller setup scheme. Jason

I'm not much of a rally fan, so I never even downloaded the RT demo... So, it's not a problem with split-axis, huh? I guess it just doesn't like the TSW... Of course, there could just be something strange about the TSW. Uwe Schuerkamp had problems getting his to work with F12002, and had to modify his wheel with help from Dave Jr. Mine worked as soon as I loaded the game, no problems whatsoever. And, I never got my TSW to work with M-B Truck racing, but I hear that others got it to work fine. Damn computers... Ok, maybe I'll try to find the RT demo. Maybe I can get *it* to work, then do the same thing for Indycar... Control file, or something. Eldred -- Help find missing child: Tatianna Ashley Chillcutt from Michigan(info on my homepage) Homepage - http://www.umich.edu/~epickett Remove SPAM-OFF to reply.

More often than not trouble with a FF controller is the same as graphics type issues. Check hardware accel. on the sound card and try setup up a hardware profile for that/those games. try with the lowest sound accel., if not try lowering graphics. or both? Could just be the way the game is accessing resources and where your controller loads in the run file. Like you said "Damn computers", but before this I just watched reruns on TV. My old sidewinder stick used to just up and quit working in a game I had played for days or even months. Disconnected the stick, unloaded the drivers and reconnect/reconfigure stick. I still say XP is no different, trouble with a driver? Reload, usually works. :-) Sean

I don't have a FF wheel, and I'm *never* getting XP... I just can't figure out how to get the proper controls to work for the proper actions. In F1 Challenge, the y- axis is gas, and the rz+ is brake. So in the indycar demo, I select the y axis for gas, and the rz axis for brake. When I go to the track the thing applies the brakes as soon as you're off computer control. I have to hit the brake pedal a couple of times after the green flag, then it seems that the brake pedal is functioning as the accelerator. Why the heck can't they just say "choose an action", then read the control that you hit in response? Stupid program... :-( My wheel/pedal combo works in every other game I play(except M-B Truck Racing). So now I have *two* that it won't work on. Unless they fix the controller setup, I certainly won't be buying the retail game. Too bad - I really wanted to like it... If your gas & brake pedals are in need of this then the game would read them as being full ON when they are full OFF. So when you press on the brake you are actually releasing it and since the gas is probably reversed as well the car begins to accelerate because the gas is full ON. Just and idea.
