Seems a bit random. How do I switch back to cockpit view in replays? Also
how do you switch to different cars? I was watching a race replay and trying
to jump to the car in front, but it would jump to seemingly random cars.

Insert should get you back to the cockpit view. I find it jumps
seemingly randomly from car to car too, not sure of any solution I am
afraid.

It jumps by running order on the monitor screen. This isn't too bad in a
race where it has some relation to track position, but it's essentially
random during qualifying and practice sessions.

Ok, just looked at the setting/controls and there are two option to move
forward and back through the field. I re-mapped them to the + and - keys.
