I'm trying to get my new Thurstmaster Nascar Pro Digital 2 (USB) wheel
to work in split axis mode with GPL.
I'm running on XP using the unsupported GPL D3D driver. I've
downloaded the 4.0.2 version of Thrustmapper.
When I select the GPL split-axis profile in Thrustmapper, GPL sees the
wheel buttons but none of the axes.
Also, I can't get it to work at all with Racer (using the 3-axis
config file that comes with the default download).
Has anyone gotten this to work with a similar configuration?
Thanks for any help.

Ed,
Good luck. I owned the same wheel. I still have it, in fact, but don't use
it. I had the damndest time trying to get split axis to work, or any kind
of axis for that matter.
I finally gave up on the wheel and Thrustmaster, whose drivers are awful and
whose support is abominable.
Sorry I can't help; but do yourself a favor and get a Logitech Wheel. I
have the LWFF (USB) and it works perfectly. The drivers for the wheel are
nice, also.

I've broken two Logi wheels..one LWFF by trying to 'Fix' it and make it
better...don't ask me to help build a house...and the 2nd was a very nice
Momo that started making terrible grinding noises. So now I'm back on the
old NPD2 Thrustmaster and it works just fine in split axis(no FF of course)
:( And this is with Win98se not XP.
With the TM profiler, make sure you load up the GPL 3 axis preset. You
should be able to test it in windows and in the profiler. THen in GPL make
sure you choose the DIRECTX controller box, not the Papyrus
Alternate/generic method. Finally make sure you are seeing all your axis
in GPL, there might be an arrow at the bottom of the calibration screen.
Good Luck

joystick configuration with 3 axes and see if it will recognize the
different axes that way. Maybe that approach won't work with usb devices, I
dunno.
