The 3d wheels look so damned beautiful, what a shame that they hit the
framerate so much... the new rims are a great job by the way!

I'm running all the cars with 3d wheels from GPLEA and Pete but i have
reduced the mip file to there original 12KB size instead of the 42KB. My
framerate is 22fps on the stating grid and than 35fps all the way on my PIII
650 + Voodoo 3.
Look in the binaries.

How did you do this - please?! I'm running 960x720, detail bias at
1/2, all forward textures, all mirror objects, only cars/track texture
in mirrors. PIII 733Mhz and V3-2k@170Mhz gives me 22-24fps at the back
of the grid in Monaco. I was thinking nirvana would have to wait for a
PIII@933Mhz and a V5.
TIA!

Before you buy.
Email me with details of which set of wheels and which car you want them for
and I'll make 'em up for you. My address is on the wheel request page along
with a pre-marked email button.

Turn down the detail bias to 25% and use the mirror-hack.
I tweaked my system to the former framerate by doing this.
Hope this helps and thanks to Tyre-Barn for those beauties.
