Can users of @home host races on GPL? I saw an old thread which indicated that @home blocked incoming connections, meaning no GPL hosting. Is this true? Thanks...Chuck

myself and several @Home users in London Ontario (Canada) enjoy very fast network play on a far-too-regular basis. No blocking here. I am able to host on my AT&T @Home connection near Detroit. However, the 128Kbps upload limit that they put on my connection limits the practical number of cars to 6 or 7. I'm on Rogers Wave in Vancouver, B.C. and I can host fine through VROC. I haven't had a chance to test it's capacity limit yet. [email hidden] (Doug Gordon) wrote in <Z_qI4.21257$[email hidden]>:

I wanna race! :) MRSisson (conveniently located in London. Unconveniently saddled with a bad @home connect (PL is my bestest buddy))

I had a terrible @home connection until they switched my crappy Lancity (LanSHITTY) for a Teryon, much much better now, still not great but alot better, can host 10-12 reliably....I'm 30 miles east of Toronto. I don't know about that, but I don't know how fast it would really work...from what I've heard from many of my Cox@Home-using friends here in the Phoenix area, upload is limited to a mere 15kbps...meaning that you're only going to be able to pull 3x a 56k modem, which is what, about 10 racers? Try it and see... -- Kirk Lane [email hidden] [email hidden] ICQ: 28171652 BRT #187 "Yeah you won't find me I'm going MIA Tonight I'm leaving Going MIA Getting lost in you again Is better than being known" -Foo Fighters, "MIA" Chuck Andersen <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:mGnI4.109$[email hidden]... > Can users of @home host races on GPL?
