Framerate drop in multiplayer in N3

I hosted a race last night and after a while my framerate dropped. I have never hosted a long race before and I never have had a problem with framerates.(usually 28-30). Anyone had the same problem and know of a fix? I tried turning details off but it did not help framerate.
