Mobil 1 Rally Championship Graphics?

Recently purchased Mobil 1 Rally Championship. Excellent game, but I cannot get 1024 x 768 graphics from my Creative Banshee Voodoo2 card. Anyone figured out how to get hi-res out of this game? Thanks, Peter

A V2 card can not do 1024.x768 graphics unless you have 2 of them running in SLI mode. The best you can do with a Single V2 card is 800x600

Hello, I had a Banshee card not that long ago. You are not going to get good fps on that game with your Banshee card unless you drop the res a lot. Yo! Don't bother with the 1024x768 resolution. Framerate drops big time. With my old PII350 + Geforce Pro I didn't get a descent framerate in 1024x768. Don't bother. Use 800x600 and have fun. Jon

id be at 1280x760 if my monitor could do it. 1170x860 or somthin like that is almost awesome. I kinda hate the game though.. SLI mode does _not_ double available graphics RAM. Two 8Mb cards in SLI still gets you only 8Mb capabilities. IIRC, the image to be rendered is mirrored on both cards RAM area and each card renders every other line. /petern

You are correct, sir. SLI stands for "Scan Line Interleaving' which is exactly what you are describing. ~daxe

Thanks for all the responses. I'm running a PIII-500 w/ 128-MB RAM. Unfortunately, my V2 has only 4-MB RAM and that's the problem. No, Modil 1 Rally Championship is _nowhere_ near the quality of GPL; it's a different type of game. But dammit, someone, somewhere, has to take up the challenge and try to match GPL's high standard. I keep trying to find one (based on game reviews), but I ain't been satisfied do far. Tahanks again, Peter
