Have been fiddling around with the settings in Core.ini, such as the MirrorsEvery=n (n=1, , 10) without cuccessfully removing the mirror flicker. Best choise seems to be n=2 for me, only thing is thet this setting pants just the bottom half of the mirror. n=1 is epeleptic... n higher than 2 draws out 3 or more "bands" of rear view with a gap between. Is there any other setting that i should try changing??? I have also tried tweaking TossHighestMip and MipFiltering settings to no avail. Framerates: Disregarding the rear view problems the framerate is great, a solid 24-36 fps in 1600x1200 res. with 19 cars on the grid and evrything set to max.... Love the sense of speed I get now, opposed to when I was running in 800x600 mode. -- Anders Nilsson http://www.algonet.se/~anils/
Yo! In the Nvidia OpenGL settings you have to choose "Use block transfer". That will fix the mirror thing. Jon

Hi Anders! Which CPU do you use and which FSB speed?
[snip] Since it's hard to judge these figures, if you have time could you please test the following: - start at Monaco with 19 ai at the end of the grid (pos 20) - ALL graphics detail and sound options maxed out, no exceptions! - in car view - 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 resolutions Don't drive away at the start and report the following framerates: - minimum framerate when the ai are starting the race - framerate when the last ai disappears behind the first turn (at lower resolutions, with 1600x1200 you can still see the top parts of the cars at this point) - maximum framerate before being kicked out _ Mats Lofkvist

Everything, graphics, sound, physics (damage model) to the max. Force feedback is on. 1600x1200: 15 FPS 1024x768: 17 FPS Since the cars are still going pretty slow at this point the lower framerate is not really a problem, IMO 1600x1200 19 FPS 1024x768 22 FPS 1600x1200: 25 FPS 1024x768: 30FPS When driving SPA, wich I enjoy the most, I get 19 FPS at the start and then 25-34 FPS while in the race -- Anders Nilsson http://www.algonet.se/~anils/
