I reinstalled GPL and everything was ok until I installed OpenGL patch and marked it as a 3d accelerator. Suddenly GPL freezed. It took almost a minute to get to the track and frametrate was 2-3 fps. Before the re install I had constant 36 fps with Pentium III, 128 RAM, Guillemots Maxi Gamer TNT 2 Ultra 32, SBLive value, MS FFW. and Nvidias detonator. I had detonators 3.72 . When freezin' started I installed detonator 3.53 and re installed gpl over and over again. And everytime everything works fine in software mode but as soon as I install openGL patch , game freezes. Seems that there's something wrong with OPenGL but what?. Ihave installed detonators many times, I know the prodecure ( first VGA mode, then uninstall and then new drivers) and GPL has worked wekk with 3.53 detonators before in my computer. Has anybody met this kind of thing before or at least similar kind o`??? Help!!!! Asko kallonen
I suggest that you try the 2.08 reference drivers and see if the problem goes away. -- Don Scurlock Vancouver,B.C.

I've got a problem like this, but with the latest GPL *demo*. If I select OpenGL (CL TNT2 Ultra, NV 3.76 ref. driver) and run GPL, my mouse pointer freezes on the main menu screen. If I press CTRL-ALT-DEL *once*, the Win95 'Close Task' dialogue pops up. If I then click 'Cancel' it goes away, and my mouse works OK, as does GPL. Any ideas, anyone? I'd like to buy GPL, but not if it's going to do that every time it starts! Is it just that the demo doesn't work properly with the OpenGL patch? In addition, the in-car view is broken. From the exterior view, I get 30-35 fps, which is nice. If I go to the in-car view, it falls to 10-15 fps, and the mirrors flicker *very* badly. I've tried changing the 'MirrorsEvery' variable in app.ini, but it doesn't make any difference. Again, is this just an issue with the demo? I *really* want to hear that everything will be OK if I just buy the game! (and install the OpenGL patch, and the 1.2 patch) -- Richard. "Well, shake it up, baby, now (shake it up, baby)."
Hello, I have an Asus V3800 TNTUltra Deluxe. Has anyone had any experience with this card and drivers? Which ones work best. I am just installing this card this weekend. Raymond www.act-labs.com On Fri, 18 Feb 2000 09:13:31 -0600, Charlie

You'll find people that have had success with all the drivers, but the general consensus is that the 2.08 Nvidia reference drivers are the most trouble free and the fastest. (Raymond, ACT LABS) (Raymond, ACT LABS) wrote in
