If the reson GP3 does not provide Internet access is a licensing issue, I think we can be hopeful that it will not be long before a third party patch comes along to provide this facility. What is probably more likely is that the sheer volume of data that is required to be transferred is the problem. To get round this it would be necessary to have an alternative protocol providing only minimal data ie coordinates and heading and velocity. If neccessary ignoring 3-D values altogether. Geoff might be too much of a perfectionist to provide this instead waiting for the internet to catch up rather than lowering the standard of his product. If this is the case I hope he has made it easy for someone else to provide this facillity for the mean time until his product is available. -----------== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News ==---------- http://www.newsfeeds.com The Largest Usenet Servers in the World! ------== Over 73,000 Newsgroups - Including Dedicated Binaries Servers ==-----

If Mr Crammond has problems with simulation multiplayer code, I think he should go begging Ratbag for licensing of the Powerslide/DTR code. Now that I have seen how well these titles handle multiplayer, there are very little excuses IMHO for anything poorer. I have had no problems with latencies of 1 second for DTR! Ryan Mitchley
