I just installed VROC last night(the newest version) and also the fix for
new version. Did a fresh GPL install and the 1.2 patch. When I try to
connect to VROC all the races that I try to connect to say my version of GPL
is incompatible. I KNOW that I have 1.2 installed. Is this a core.ini
problem? Any suggestions? Also if I try to just run GPL I get the menu
flickering and mouse pointer trails problem . I even tried putting the old
glide 2.53 dll in the Gpl directory . Can anyone give me some suggestions.

I had this problem when I first installed WinVroc, and the problem was that
I didn't have WinVroc correctly configured to find GPL. I went back and
pointed WinVroc to GPL and it worked fine. Vroc/Options... then browse to
GPL.exe. Hope that works.

I had this problem. It was the backup file from the 1.2 install. Copy
it to another loacation, then delete it.

installer gave the option of creating a backup of gpl files. I said
yes and it created a folder in the gpl directory named backup. The
folder included the gpl exe 1.0 and I think winvroc sees it and gives
you the incorrect version message.
