I'm having problems highlighting the various choices on the menu
screens. There is no cursor to indicate where my mouse is currently
pointing and all I can do is move the mouse randomly around the screen
until I finally land on one of the choices. It sometimes takes several
minutes of slowly moving the mouse around the screen before I finally
locate one of the choices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any
suggestions as to how to correct this problem would be greatly
appreciated.....

The game comes with Direct X 7.0
Maybe upgrading to 7.0a might help

Then, AFAIK, you need to wait for the next DTR-patch, it is said that it
will fix this annoying problem.

I would recommend looking in Control Panel at your Mouse Cursor Theme
set. Set it to Windows default, or the 3D animated theme. I had a customer
who had this problem with Windows (not DTR) where their mouse cursor would
disappear if the menu was more then 4 levels deep.
