Guys,
I've never been able to run Burnout properly. I can get it to start, but
can't get into the edit driver screen (always sends back to desktop). I
emaied Bethesda a long time back, with no reply...
The game itself, sometimes I get sound, sometimes I don't. Any ideas?
My system: AMD K6II 350, Voodoo 3, generic Soundblaster compatible, plenty
of RAM, etc...I tried the patch, but that still couldn't help.

i never could get burnout 1 to work with my v3k or v3500. it would
crash when i went to anything but the track. so, i upgraded to nira,
better engine, 3dfx actually worx, and it has n20!! :) i highly
recomend you update it, then go to www.shra.com and www.whra.com and
dl all the real (non pokemon) cars to race in it. great game if you
like to drag, it's keeping me busy till the track opens back up and i
can go race for real :)

So you CAN get real, American, small-block-Chevy V8 powered, RWD vehicles in
NIRA?
I wonder if it would be possible to change the interface as well, to the
point where the only time I remember it's NIRA and not NHRA is when I lay
the smackdown on a Civic...
BTW, Burnout PCE does add Nitrous, but IIRC NIRA adds forced induction as
well (turbos and superchargers...finally!!!)
