Okay, I really have looked on Google, and I've tried changing (some value from 1 to 0) in my (some file, did it ages ago), reducing F1C to a slightly lower video setting, etc. etc. etc... I still have a good .2/.3 second delay between me moving my wheel and the car turning. I bought a Logitech MoMo wheel yesterday to replace my tired and worn Formula Force GP Wheel (Red). Both wheels are great, I like the feel for the MoMo better. If anyone has any suggestions I desparately need them :) Thanks! J.R.
In your .PLR file, try changing the line: Moving Steering Wheel="1" to Moving Steering Wheel="0" This should cure your problem. You can easily do this with my F1C PLR file editor available on the download sites. I am just about to release a new version with many more features, and during testing last night, I managed to get a 20 FPS improvement!! Watch this space. -- R. I wasn't very specific (I forgot what it was exactly) in my post but unfortuantely I've exhausted that option which is why I'm posting here. I get 12/13FPS but that isn't the problem, the problem is the steering delay! Thanks anyways for trying to help, anyone else please? ;) J.R.

Really, you need, at the bare minimum, 30fps - preferably 50+ before controller lag disappears. You might be better off playing a much older game like GPL which would probably run better on your hardware.

Turn off the mirrors...approximentally 20fps...turn off the hud that also improves the framerate approimentally 20fps. And now you can add ANOTHER 20fps....?????? In the quest for Eye candy, we seem to have forgotten the Mantra of the 486-100 days...."Framerate is Everything." If you are only getting 20 fps or below..then you are running way too many graphic options. Redo your config3d and experiement...a GF4 4600 should be able to score at least in the 40 million triangle range....if not even closer to the 50million mark. FSAA doesn't really work with nvidia cards so turn that off, and lower the anistrophic setting in d3d as well. Finally make sure your vsync is turned off. Once you've squeezed all you can from your windows settings then go in and reduce the car and track details to lower levels. One warning here tho...Many of the addon cars don't have a proper Level of Detail(lod) built in. So you may find that if you have addon cars, the track won't load after you have reduced the ai car detail. Remember, even with graphic settings, make one change at a time...that way if something screws up, you can isolate and recover. dave henrie

I'm *barely* at about 30fps. Sometimes dips lower... :-( Eldred -- Homepage - http://www.umich.edu/~epickett Member Screamers Racing League IICC League GPLRank -2.4 MoGPL rank +302.38 ChallengeRank +54.48 MoC +743.77 Hist. +82.82 MoH in progress N2k3 rank:in progress Remove SPAM-OFF to reply.

Does that score show up in the normal config, or is that in the 3dmark program? Also, turning down graphics options may couse other problems. Turning off the mirror causes problems with situational awareness. Turning down the graphics options may remove items you need for brake or turn-in markers. So even though you may be increasing fps, it may not help the driving experience...
