Hi all, Sorry for the OT post, but I would really like to buy the Le Mans movie in PAL format. You know, the one where Steve McQueen drives a 917. Of course you know ;-) Ive only seen it about a million times, but my only copy (taped from TV) in on Betamax, so as you can probably guess, I havent seen it in a while. Anyway, can anybody tell me where I can buy this online? I would really appreciate it - thanks. Regards, Soren Sarstrup Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
It was on Channel4 in the UK at the start of the 1998 season (or whenever ITV got the TV rights from the BBC) & I think I have it on tape somewhere. Absolutely fantastic Ferrari sports car action with great sounds worthy of being in GPL. I'll have a check for it on Video (I definitely have 'Grand Prix' on Video UK VHS standard - I'll trade a copy if someone can copy an American NTSC VHS tape onto UK VHS for me)
Soren-- Try Duke Video http://www.dukevideo.com Also check out Autosports Ltd. (Toad Hall) site on Micheal Keyser's new book "A French Kiss With Death" on the making of the film: http://www.autosportsltd.com/fkwd.html

Thanks for your help, I've tried Duke Video, but they don't seem to have it.However, I am going to do it the hard way now, and buy a new video that has NTSC playback. I'm sure it'll come in handy for other things as well.... Thanks, Soren Sarstrup Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

As a last resort try a video transfer service. There are places that can transfer video from one format to another for a few $$. buzard
