Logitech Formula Force - question for owners

4 posts by 4 people · 13 Jan 2000 - 14 Jan 2000

To anyone with a Logitech Formla Force steering wheel; With the power switched off, when you turn the wheel from side to side does it move completely smoothly, or is there a slightly 'bumpy' feel to it? I just bought mine and it has the latter which I'm not sure if it is a fault or whether it is a characteristic of the mechanism. Many thanks for your help. /\/eil.
Yep, slightly "notchy feel" to it wth power switched off. Dont worry about it though, I'm sure its perfectly normal. I've had my wheel for over a year now and its as rock solid as the day I bought it. Make sure you download the latest drivers though, they give a lot more strength to the feedback than the ones that were bundled with the wheel. cheers, StudsR Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Neil Strotton Ah, good to here more people have noticed this. I've also had it since the first day, but now that I own it for almoast half a year, it still feels the same. Jarno

I purchased a Logitech FF in june, It was smooth with the power off. I gave that one to my friend and purchased another one In December. That one has a notchy feel to it. The newer one has the firmer upgraded Brake and Gas pedals. It also seems to have much stonger FF effects when compared to the one I purchsed in June.
