Do any FF wheels come with good pedals?

Which force feedback wheels have decent pedals

A poster asked whether any FF wheel came with good pedals. The Microsoft Force Feedback Wheel's pedals were widely praised, opinions on Logitech and ACT Labs pedals were split, and some users transplanted pedals from other wheels. ACT Labs' Raymond added that staff there played with shoes on.

I know everyone is going to call me a moron, but I actually like my LWFF pedals. Yes, the travel is short and the springs are soft. I like it. I race with no shoes on, and the light pedals really give me a lot of control. -- Aaron Gillum RDOS Director of Operations http://www.racing-design.com/rdos Now Accepting Applications! -- "You could have been paid to read this message. www.getpaid4.com/?bargler " -- > No problems with MSFF. > > Dont all the pedals suck ?

Act Labs, Guillemot Ferrari, MSFF all have great pedals, and about half the people who own them even like the LWFF pedals. I think it all depends on what you race and then what you get used to. Slot
The hardware is good. But it has only 64 degree each. You'll feel inputs are jumping. Y.Minami > No problems with MSFF. > > Dont all the pedals suck ?

No. The Microsoft Force Feedback Wheel has excellent pedals. Best I've seen, by far. They feel solid and have great spring feedback. The base could be a little heavier however, as it does slid around a bit. Best regards, The Phoenix

Hah? My Act Labs pedals SUCK. I love the wheel. The best FF I've ever felt. But the pedals are terrible. I've had them apart several times, greased them, adjusted the bolts etc. etc. The brake pedal is very sticky and hard to control in a sim like GPL. Has no feel to it either. Does that Act Labs guy still hang out here? Have you guys come out with a fix for the pedals yet? If so, it would be a kick ass combo. -- Gary Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

The pedals with my Force RS were a little tight when I first got it, but after about a week of use they loosened up and now they feel great. Brett

I hear this but with any pedals you just can't use them with shoes or slippers, socks or bare fotted is the only way you can feel these pedals! Thats what I find anyway. -- GraDee ------------------------------------------------------------- Karting "3.65" www.esatclear.ie/~karting ------------------------------------------------------------- "The dozens and dozens........."

I've been using mine a few months now. I'll pop them apart again and see if can it any better than it is. It's been a while since I last adjusted things. Thanks! Gary Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Hello GraDee, Just some trivia for you. When we play on our "breaks," we all play with our shoes on. I actually prefer to play with my shoes on and would do so at home if my girlfriend didn't kick my ass. Besides, there are some guys here at work that would kill us if they took off their shoes to play. :) Raymond ACT LABS

I find the springs are plenty strong enough for me, and there's just enough throw in them. I can actually hold the car on the edge when braking now in GPL. They have a huge base with place on left to rest your brake foot, and lots of platform space for big feet like mine. The logitech unit is extremely precise, and always calibrates exact and smoothly. The wheel does bug me with a bit of a plastic grinding feeling and sound when turned, but it works well, feels good, has plenty of force, and is very very smooth even with sensitivity and linearity full maxed.

The logitech pedals are cool. -- Header address intentionally scrambled to ward off the spamming hordes. cisko [AT] ix [DOT] netcom [DOT] com
What I like to know is that is there a single hotshoe who uses original LWFF pedals? I know there is few using MSFF... IMO that makes a _BIG_ difference... What I think would be the best (what I've heard etc.) option is LWFF with CH pedals...(Haven't tried CH pedals myself), because I think that LWFF has better wheel than MSFF, but MSFF has IMO _MUCH_ better pedals(tried both).

I didn't like my LWFF pedals at all, so I bought the cheap Microsoft non-FF wheel and just moved the LWFF wiring to the Microsoft pedals. It took only about a half hour, and it's a pretty sanitary looking installation once it's done. I'm VERY happy with this combination. David

I have the ACT Force Rs feedback wheel, and I didn't like the pedal. The throw on them was too short so I found it hard to feather the brake or gas. However the base is good and steady. I have since put the pedals from my old Thrustmaster non-ff wheel onto my FF wheel and am very happy with this combination. ______________________________________________________________ Posted via Uncensored-News.Com, http://www.uncensored-news.com Only $8.95 A Month, - The Worlds Uncensored News Source

That was my impression of of the LWFF-pedals too. I also drove the stuff with the shoes off. However, there was something wrong with the wheel (axis had too much play, causing a locking of the wheel) and I returned it for repairs. After 8 weeks I got a call, and guess what, I've got a completely new one. This one is different from the first, that's fot sure. Apart from a marvelously precise wheel, the pedals are a lot more stiffer than the first one. No bare foot driving anymore. I've got a rectangular imprint in my right foot after 25 laps of racing ! Probably a 'thin' shoe should do the trick. smik

I guess everyone will think I'm a moron too because I actually like the pedals on my Act Labs Force RS. Only took a couple of days to get used to and now I think they are great. Brett "Mike King" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I have to admit, that I don't hate mine either. I switched from TSW2, the best pedals I've tried so far, and it didn't take long to get used the LWFF pedals. Can't say how long they will last though. [email hidden] (Aaron Gillum) wrote in <kFse4.2574$%%[email hidden]>:
