Creative SB Live, Aureal Vortex 2 SuperQuad, or Diamond MX-300 ???

Seems that many here have a number of different sound cards ... What seems to be the best for N3, NL, GPL, TOCA-2, SPCGT, GPL, etc. ??? Pros ??? Cons ??? Creative Labs SB Live ??? Aureal A3D Vortex 2 SuperQuad ??? Diamond MX-300 ??? Thanks for any input. Oh, and BTW, anybody at all got any experiences with Obsidian X-24 SLI video cards ???

Put my vote down for the SBLive! Best soundcard I have ever owned.

I have the MX300 and it is great... The GAMEPORT is the best feature.. Monza... A3D is great.. James

Just switched this past weekend from a Soundblaster PCI128 to an MX 300. Quite a difference! I like the A3D 2.0. -- //Chuck Kandler #70 //ChuckK or KS70 on Won.net //K&S Racing //http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/thepits/195 //The box said "Windows 0x5f or better", so I installed LINUX!

I've been looking for a new soundcard too and have found that the Diamond MX-300 is good but that the new 400 won't support the newest A3D so I'm going to go with the SBLive X-gamer since EAX seems to be the lasting standard and that it got nothing but rave reviews from everyone. Vintook
