Just looking for prefferences for these sims, May be able to afford a good
accelerator shortly.
Thanks

For those two games especially, get a Voodoo card. Or better still, buy my
TNT2 Ultra with a Tenmax fan so I can buy another Voodoo!

My Voodoo2 is starting to feel a little long in the tooth. I've read lots about
nVidia's new GeForce and it's T&L features which the new Voodoo 5 and 6's will
be lacking, but I'm going to shell out for the Voodoo 5 come March/April (or
August or whenever it's released), because I don't want any card that's not
compatible with GPL. Personally, I can't wait to see Grand Prix Legends running
36 fps at 1024x768 with Full Screen Anti-Aliasing on.
Thanks
I am currently running a V2 on a 200MMx but will be upgrading the CPU to
400 or 450, and will probably go with the V3 or V4.
Thanks again

That's the most important thing, especially for driving games and
flight sims. No more jagged edges, no more headaches.
Voodoo isn't the best for animation, video, or Quake, but for what I
use it for it's the best thing going and soon to get better.
V3 cards without a doubt.
Very happy with my V3000 card in N3 and GPL, plus you can buy em at a good
price now.

? Where did you get the idea that the V4/V5 cards will not be compatible with GPL?
Reread the message, he is buying the Voodoo4/5 because it is compatible.

If you're moving up to a 400 from a 200MMX, you'll be getting a new
motherboard and maybe memory, also.

Perhaps you have not heard that 3dfx is doing away with Glide support
in future cards...

V4 and V5 products are compatible with all existing Glide titles and
will support Glide 2.x and 3.x.
