http://www.powersims.com/on_the_spot/WSC/wsc.html This looks, sounds (man I bet it even smells) like a winner!! Please let this sim. become what it deserves to be.. a success so big that Bernie & Max would want to mess it all up - again. I've been waiting for a real WSC (or SWC if you like) for years.... and right I got tears in my eyes!! This could be the next benchmark in terms of sims. from what i can see.. Guys.... need a beta-tester with experience from endurance racing and C2 mechanics? :) Please... please.... pretty please!?!? -- All the best, Ed Solheim The Paddock - a legendary site.... ** Proud member of the GPLEA ** (Remove SPAM-GUARD in address to reply)

Dear God- Please make this sim as good as the screenshots look. P.S. I'll be good amen
I wonder if the possibilities for this sim (WSC) will put a flame under Sierra/Papy to get N4 out the door quicker... --David Cook

> I wonder if the possibilities for this sim (WSC) will put a flame under > Sierra/Papy to get N4 out the door quicker... > --David Cook I hope not. There's too many NASCARx sims already. Another posts says that there wont be another open wheeled sim soon, So, Maybe they could make a closed wheel sim with the smaller cars? i.e. SCCA SSx cars? or, in my case, SCCA HP sprites:) At the very least, add the smaller cars to the NASCAR sim. There's just way too many "first one to crash wins" Sims out there now. -- ========================================= Mike Barlow of Barlow Racing? ========================================= http://members.xoom.com/BarlowRacing/ Racing online with the help of...... David, I must be missing something here, but why would the success of WSC put a flame under Sierra/ Papyrus to get Nas4 out any sooner? Joel Willstein
Because since GPL there has been nothing released that could compete. WSC will surely give serious simmers all they have wanted and waited for if things work out like they look to. They may be two separate series, but a game is a game (or in this case a sim is a sim). Ex: RC2000 wasn't released in the US before Christmas because thy didn't believe it could compete with the likes of games like TR4. In our case I would bet that even if both sims hit the shelves on the same day we would all buy both. But which will we tell our friends about? It sure looks like WSC has the potential to even beat N4 as the next king of sims from what I've seen and read so far... David Cook wrote...

First of all...have we all assumed, based on a few screenshots, that N4 will be the "son of GPL?" 2nd of all...CART would be the 2nd most popular series in the states, and they didn't/won't attempt an update there, why would they go after small fry like scca classes? 3rd of all...:) World Sports Cars has no direct sales link to decreased Nascar Sales, any more than MGPrs or GP3. I personally would love it if N4 was indeed the physics offspring of GPL. I get all mushy inside thinking what the Pits could do with that for the Touring car Patch.... But, I also would have "prefered" to see the GPL engine put to use with a CART sim...in 32 bit color...now wouldn't that be something...oh vey.... dave(no I'm not Jewish!) henrie
