Just to let anyone interested know, Windows 2000 pro DOES work.
Other games quickly tested
Rally 2000, NO (doesnt even get to startup screen)
Slave Zero ,NO (same)
Rouge Spear Yes? (Software Only)
Age of Kings ,Yes
Civ2,Yes
Homeworld,Yes
Specops 2,No (white screen)
Unreal Tournament,No (starts then Freezes before intro)
Nascar Legends, Yes (assume same as N3) not tested due to space
Tzar,NO (invalid win32 app.)
HALF-LIFE, YES
Overall about a 50% sucess rate on current games, not too bad
considering this is really NT5 with Millinium being the win99 for the
home (read:***) user
Note for Voodoo2 users,while there are NT4 drivers from 3DFX , 2000
looks for an INF file for proper detection, some games like
N3,half-life go off the interface (open Gl, D3D etc.) work fine, those
that have card detectors fail to see the second card and ***
Idea about that, someone else can try (Im back to 98 for now) when
2000 looks for the inf file for the Voodoo maybe pointing to the one
for 95/98 might work?
Give 2000 about 3-4 months of actuall release and most of those should
have patches (Rally,&Tzar might not have the staff so??)
