DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO TURN THE MIRRORS OFF IN THE CORE.INI FILES SO I CAN
GET BETTER THAN 19-20 FPS I CAN GET A CONSTANT 36.9 WITH THE CHASE VIEW BUT
THEN IT'S NOT A SIMULATOR IS IT ?
Put the following in the core.ini. This should sort the mirrors out and
speed things up.
[ OpenGL ]
TossHighestMip = 1 ;
MipFiltering = 3 ;
MirrorsEvery = 5 ;
Increase the MirrorsEvery to a maximum of 8 to reduce their refresh rate.
This gives me a good framerate.
The details are explained in the readme file which came with the patch. As
far as I am aware, you can't turn the mirrors off.
Alternatively, edit your player.ini file and find the "drivingView = " line
in the [ Personal Information ] section. Changing this value alters the
view to use the replay cameras. Setting it to 12 gives the roll bar view
with no mirrors, rev counter and gauges but gives a good framerate.
