N3 crashes with V77O Ultra

Has anyone had any problems with thv770? I have tried with 3D and no enhancement, N3 & NL will boot up but crashes once I head for the track. I get a (fatel exeption error at ......... with somthing about asp4wav. +00014555). Any suggestions would be apprieciated. I still have 10 days to return the card, if some other card would work better for playing N3,NL & GPL. I am running a PII 400 bumped to 445, 258 megs of ram win 98b, montego sound card, plenty of hard drive space and the viper v770 ultra. Sounds to me like your problem has something to do with the montego sound card and the A3D support because asp4wav.xx is a sound card related driver. I have the montego as well. You may want to check your sound card drivers.

I've not had any problems with my V770 and N3. It works great. I also have a Turtle Beach Montego sound card and have had no problems with that. Are you choosing D3D or 3dfx??? V770 can't do 3dfx so use D3D if you're using the other. I would also recomend updating your drivers for you sound card. If it's in a Dell get the drivers at the dell site as they differ somewhat from the rest of the world for some reason. Good Luck Steve-S
