I'm using a Creative Labs Blaster Banshee card with GPL. I downloaded the
Unofficial GPL Banshee/3dfx Patch from www.the-fastlane.com/patches.shtml ,
and it says that this particular version eliminates the lingering mouse
trails that appear (and stay) at the bottom and right of the menu screens.
But I still have the mouse trails when I run GPL. Is it possible that this
is in fact, an earlier version of the patch? (It says ver. 1.0.0.4 in the
readme). If so, does anyone know where I can get the right one? I tried the
version at www.theuspits.com, but their version does the same thing. (Is it
just me, for some reason?)
I'm using the GPL 1.2 patch, and I was thinking that the need for the
Banshee patch was eliminated with the GPL 1.1 patch, but upon recently
re-installing GPL (had recently lost everything on my hard drive due to pc
problems), and patching it with the 1.2 patch, I still had texture
corruption. George Smiley's patch fixed the corruption problem, and the game
runs fine, but the mouse trails remain. And it just wouldn't puzzle me so
bad if it didn't say at the fast lane that they had been fixed. Hmmm......
Any ideas?
