Is this in single play or multiplay??? It could be your TM wheel...
And it may be a heat problem because the TM wheel uses
about 3,000,000 CPU cycles per FF event. By contrast the
Logitech FF uses 50,000. Try turning FF off.

Could it be your screen saver or power saving mode? I had a similar problem
with N2 and had to turn these off.
