GPL: Broken engine ?

Something weird is happening to my GPL since 1.2. It worked fine at first, and then I staterd to get cars with a bad engine (you know, the engine hesitates to rev up, I suppose that's a failure mode). Thing is, the damage model is all off, and now I always get bad engines no matter how many times I exit and restart the game... Only thing I changes since upgrading a clean install to 1.2 is alison's driver_slow.ini fix. Any ideas ? Thx ! Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

It may be your controller thats playing up. try recalibrating and look closely at how the sliders move, especially on full acceleration. rob

1. See if there's smoke. If there is, well, then something's causing your engine to blow when it's not supposed to...then I'd do a reinstall... 2. No smoke? Good....make sure you have gas and fuel pressure! 3. Check your control calibrations. 4. Make sure there's no helps of any kind. -- Kirk Lane ICQ: 28171652 BRT #187 "Yeah you won't find me I'm going MIA Tonight I'm leaving Going MIA Getting lost in you again Is better than being known" -Foo Fighters, "MIA" > Something weird is happening to my GPL since 1.2. I also get uneven throttle at times. No damage, no slow.ini

Perhaps the ole calibration problem? Check your controller settings. Ruud van Gaal MarketGraph / MachTech: http://www.marketgraph.nl Art: http://www.marketgraph.nl/gallery
