Following PacoSkiinoff's advice (on simracingnew.com bulletin board), I tried the 3dfx32v3.dll from the 1.02.18 reference drivers and it fixes the RC2K graphics bugs. Once it's installed you can take out that new line in ral.cfg suggested in the official patch, as it's not needed for this driver version. You SHOULD keep the full functionality of the latest drivers, with RC2K compatibility. I'd be interested to know if that isn't the case! To save downloading the whole driver set from 3dfx, I've zipped up that dll and it put it on my site: 3DNow! UK: www.3dnow.freeserve.co.uk The file itself is at www.3dnow.freeserve.co.uk/files/v3-10218.zip (181kb)
Will this also solve the corrupted menus problem? // Johan

Odd.. I have a V3 3000 and RC2K runs faultlessly on my machine. -- Cheers! Graeme Nash

You on old drivers? Reference drivers 1.03.xx cause rendering problems in the rear-view mirror, and the dash board may flicker on internal views, especially on stages with snow or rain. This was a bug introduced to the drivers AFTER the 1.02.18 version. The patch for the game allows you to put a line in your ral.cfg file which fixes the in-car bugs, but leads to corrupt menu graphics. The dll from the 1.02.18 fixes this, while keeping the OpenGL improvements put in by the 1.03.xx drivers. Mike.
