Guys, thanks for your comments on Spirit of Speed 1937. I've noticed another
poor aspect of the game.
When you select a difficulty for a championship, you get a mix of cars and
drivers to race against for that season. At each track, I noticed that the
grid order was looking the same. I started checking, and yes, up to now the
grid order for each different track in the season has been the same. In
fact, its the same order as you initially see the cars in. How realistic is
that?
As it is the same grid order at different tracks, I can only assume the game
is not in fact calculating the qualifying times for the computer cars....!
Having the same computer driver level with cars with different
characteristics would surely give different results at the different
tracks - some tracks being suited to slower cars with more accerelation and
so on...? (you can add this and no multiplayer to the list of gripes in my
previous posting).
This game seems to have been poorly thought through in its design stages....
I'm just glad I've kept the packaging and the till receipt.
Cheers,
Carl
Can you tell me if it is possible to increase the resolution upt 1024x768 as
was possible in the demo by editing the init file.
Is the handling and sound identical to the demo ?

Yes, you can do it, just like in the demo. Handling + sound did not
change since the demo.
