Steering sensitivity in RC2K demo

3 posts by 3 people · 24 Nov 1999 - 25 Nov 1999

I downloaded the RC2K demo, and the steering using my wheel is far too sensitive. Questions: 1) can I do something about it ? 2) if not, is it the same in the retail version ? thanks for answering! Alexander

You could tweak the response of your wheel with DXTweak from Logitech's website (don't know the exact link ATM) by increasing the values for the x-axis. Here you can adjust it a bit. It's still very sensitive, but you'll get used to it and even need it, because you'll have to react very fast... cu Zolli
If you've got an MSFF, then make a new profile that has a large deadzone on the steering axis. It made the demo fine for me. In the full version, it's improved as you can decrease steering sensetivity in the player detail info. Doug
