Just a wild guess here, but I'd imagine you could get that sort of
behavior if you specified an inappropriate rasterizer during setup.
What video card do you have, and which rasterizer did you select
during setup?

i just did a full install of n3. everything seemingly loaded fine. when i go
into the game, it goes thru its opening then comes to a reddish screen that
says "nascar 3 presents" it then kicks me back out to windows. i tried it both
with the cd in and out of the computer. same problem anyone have any ideas

Chances are it's either video or sound. Make sure you have the most
current drivers for both. Any other games giving you trouble? Configuration?

Try setting the game up for "software" mode on the graphics
