GPL laptimes with Cooper/Coventry

7 posts by 6 people · 18 Nov 1999 - 22 Nov 1999

I finally got under 109 at Watkins Glen with the Cooper/Coventry using Alison's setups. My time: 108.79. You hear so little about lap times for the Cooper. Can anybody tell me what is considered in the "fast" range at Watkins Glen with a Cooper/Coventry? Thanks. James Larson

Current fastest is 1:05:62 but I am sure that will improved soon. Wolfgang Woeger did 1:04:96 with 1.0. http://www.parc-ferme.de/chassis.htm Remco

I can run in the 1:07s comfortably with a PB at 1:06.78. Not as fast as my Eagle laps there but I'd say low 1:07s is a respectable time there. Chris
James, Great lap time. I just broke into the 1:07s with the Brabham. Joel Willstein

Remco, That's unreal!!!!!! I haven't seen too many Lotus drivers get into the 1:05s and only one into the 1:04s. And now you tell me that Wolfgang did it in a Cooper. I would love to see the replay of that.

My best was 1:06:63, and I'm really proud of it. Jens <snip> --------------------------------------------- Remove "NOSPAM" before using my email-address
