Spirit of Speed marketing

There is a big, splashy ad for SOS running in Classic & Sports Cars this month. Looks like Microprose has an idea of their target market. Stephen

:> month. Looks like Microprose has an idea of their target market. : In one word: : "Suckers" Exactly my point. Or to be perhaps a little more charitable, non-sim racers with a sentimental attachment to these cars. I wonder if GPL was ever advertised in such a magazine? Captive audience, I would say. Stephen

Captive audience, I would say. Yes.... GPL was advertised in classical car magazines in both Europe and the U.S I've seen the "..In 1968 they changed the rules of formula 1..." ad. in both Vintage Motorsports and Classic and Sportscar. -- All the best, Edwin Solheim The Paddock - a legendary site.... <http://home.c2i.net/thepaddock> *** Proud member of the GPLEA ***
Edwin, I heard Kaemmer talking about this advert in an online gameshow. I'd love to see this advert. Is it possibly for you to scan this advert and put it on your site? Or someone else perhaps? I also read about an advert in which Graham Hill tells Damon that he should wait some years before he can race too. And yes, I'd like to have that one as well :) Andre On Wed, 17 Nov 1999 23:51:55 GMT, "Edwin Solheim"
