gpl_1201 patch won't work

When I try to update GPL with the 1.2 patch it bombs out with an error half way through, something like 'GPL.EXE not valid for patching'. What's going on? I bought GPL in the UK - is that the problem? Does the patch only work for the US EXE? I tried the 1.1 patch and that didn't work either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. *bl

I bought GPL in the UK, but only the USA version of the patch works on mine.

If so, you need the UK patch, otherwise you need the US patch. Before you patch GPL, copy the original GPL.EXE from the CD. Then it should work. Remco

You're probably trying to update a Uk version with the US patch. You need the UK patch which does not have an installer, all you need to do is extract it to your Gpl directory. -- Peter Ives (AKA Ivington)
