Q: N3 Multilpayer (IPX Net)

3 posts by 2 people · 11 Nov 1999 - 12 Nov 1999

When playing N3 over an IPX network, how do you set the game so that everyone involved shows up in the proper car (a custom car they made themselves) on each computer? For example if drivers "A" , "B" & "C" have a custom car, how can the game be set so that driver "A" is always show in his/her car on drivers "B" & "C"'s computer and the same goes for drivers "B" & "C" to be seen in their own cars? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its pretty simple actually. Each client needs to have a copy of all "custom.car" files in their respective NASCAR3/CARS folder. Then, when each driver joins the event, they must type in their custom car file name in the drop down space on the multiplayer screen. Note: the file names must be 8 characters or less, and you don't type in the .car extension. -- Kenny L. #14 Generic Chevy PRC Member Wall Scrapers Racing Team
You're right! It was pretty simple (with your help of course). Thanks for the help, you get the Hard Charger Award for today. Once again, thank you.
