DTR handling - realistic?

1 post by 1 person · 06 Nov 1999 - 06 Nov 1999

Being a Brit I've never seen any real DTR stuff, but can you -really- get that sideways under full power and retrieve it without lifting? I'm talking getting almost 90 degrees. Handling is definately set to full realism in my options. I thought it was quite Sega Rally (1) esque in that it didn't seem to want to let you spin - then my wife had a go (pro-stock) and she could even remotely keep it heading in the right direction, so it could be that I'm just over used to the subtlety of GPL. It does feel quite Powerslide (played the demo) in the sideways driving feel. Great fun. Hoping it'll get released here in the UK (preferably at that bargain ba***t price the US will have). I saw Powerslide for a fiver in the local game trading outlet, so I might just have to indulge to tide me over... Cheers, Mark Reading, UK
