SCGT replacing or deleting Desert Speedway?

Hi, is there any way to fix, replace or delete the Desert Speedway, because it seems to be nearly useless? The graphics there are so slow! I normally use "High Detail" and resolution 800x600, and all the other tracks work fine. But that track (otherwise ok!) is nearly unplayable even in "Low Detail" and 512x384! Arto PS In Career Mode you cannot avoid the track...

Open your /SCGT/dat/matrix.mc file with Winzip, extract it to a DIFFERENT directory, open it in notepad or any plain text editor, rearrange the career races to suit your needs, and then overwrite your original matrix.mc with it. Try that with your .plr and .svm files as well to change things around... -- -----------------------------------+--------------------------------- ICQ #: 18197225 | http://members.xoom.com/morganv/ -----------------------------------+---------------------------------

Arto, what kind of PC config are you using? One of our home PC's is an old Pentium 233 and it handles Desert Speedway OK in 640x480, though not in high detail. BTW, Desert Speedway is REALLY Pikes Peak Raceway in disguise. The only difference is that SCGT uses a chicane arrangement in turn 1. The rest of the course is almost identical to the real thing. Apparently they couldn't get the license to the real track, so built a clone of it in SCGT. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
